Heliski in Turkey

PRÉSENTATION

The Kacker Massif is approximately 3,500 km2. It is renowned for excellent snow conditions and, because of its proximity to the sea, the coat of snow is stable. Close to the rest of Europe there is no time difference from most European countries. With the helicopter service provided by a Swiss company and the guiding service of quality, experience and flexibility it is easy to understand why Turkey is on its way to becoming one of the top heli-skiing destinations of the future. PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Dates 2009 : from january the 10th to april the 12th

  • Location: the base is in Ayder, village situated in the north-east of Turkey in the Kaçkar massif.
  • Access: From Istanbul, flight to Trabzon, transfer by bus to Ayder.
  • Accommodation: Hotel ***, the rooms are small but comfortable and fully equipped: direct line telephone, satellite TV, mini bar and en-suite bathroom. Internet connection "Wi-Fi" available in the hotel.
  • Guides: Each group, 4 to 5 skiers, is accompanied by one high altitude guide. All guides have worked in heli-skiing bases around the world and share a great experience in this field.
  • Helicopters: Bell 407, the pilots are Swiss and are very experienced with heli-skiing flying. Maintenance of the aircraft is also taken care by a Swiss company.
  • Side activities: Right next door to the hotel in the village of Ayder there is a thermal spa with a water temperature of about 40 degrees celcius, benefit from its goodness throughout your stay. Other options are excursions within the region or to another town along the Black Sea.

 







PROGRAM

  • Saturday: Flight from your local departure airport to Trabzon via Istanbul,Transfer to Ayder or Ikisdere
  • Sunday: Safety and helicopter debriefs. Heli-skiing
  • Monday to Friday: Heli-skiing
  • Saturday: Heli-skiing, transfer to Trabzon at the end of the day, overnight stay in Trabzon
  • Sunday: Flight back to Istanbul, then return flight from Istanbul.

 















 
 
PRICE 2009 : "Prestige"
  • January the 10th to February the 1st : 6'500 €
  • February the 1st to March the 15th : 6'800 €
  • March the 15th to the 29th : 6'500 €
  • March the 29th to April the 12th : 6'100 €

Price includes:

  • 7 days Heli-skiing, 30,500 vertical meters of which 20,000 m are guaranteed
  • Transfers from Trabzon Airport
  • Accommodation in double room and meals
  • Safety equipment: Air bag, ARVA, shovel, probe
  • Availability of powdered-snow skis

Price does not include:

  • Drinks
  • International flights to Istanbul and internal flights to Trabzon
  • The overnight stay in Istanbul
  • Vertical meters beyond the pass, 95 euros per 1,000 meters
  • Safety insurance and cancellation insurance

 

Price 2009 : "Exclusive"

only one or two group of 3 to 8 skiers for the whole week! The base is all yours, you will benefit of a heli-skiing pass for 6 days with the helicopter available to you 8 hours a day. Make the most of the terrain and its possibilities. This programme offers you complete flexibility and is specifically built for skiers wishing to achieve a maximum of “vertical meters”.


Price:

  • 8 skiers : 8'800 € ; 7 skiers : 9'400 € ; 6 skiers : 10'500 €

  • 5 skiers : 12'500 € ; 4 skiers : 15'000 € ; 3 skiers : 17'500 €

This price includes:

  • Same as per standard programme with the exception of the heli-skiing pass
  • 7 days heli-skiing pass, 6 hours of helicopter, (9 hours per two groups
This price does not include:
  • Same as per standard programme with the exception of vertical meter supplement
  • Additional flight time at 2,300 euros per hour
