Heliski in Uzbekistan

PRESENTATION

The chain of Tien Chan goes right through the oriental part of this ex-USSR country. You will be fascinated by the majestic view of these these mountains which go on forever and where you can discover extraordinary slopes, (big vertical drop).
You will be staying at the welcoming three-star hotel Chorvoq, named after the lake which is nearby and located not far from the small Chimgan ski resort .

 







 

PRATICALS INFORMATIONS

  • Location : : The heliski operation is based at Charvaq lake, around 90 km northest of the capital Tachkent. From Tachkent 1h30 by is needing to reach the hotel Charvaq who is just below the ski resort of Chimgan.
  • Accommodation : *** hotel, double rooms, very spacious.
  • Groups : Up to 18 candidates split into 2 groups of 9 for skiing.
  • Guides : Each group will be accompanied by a high altitude guide (UIAGM) and a local guide.
  • Helicopters : M18 MTV bi-motors, very powerful and robust, these helicopters are very adaptable to the specific work involved with heli-skiing.
  • Pilots : The crew comprises three people, one pilot, one co-pilot and one engineer. They are very experienced and very familiar with the terrain.

 








PROGRAM
 

  • Friday : Flight to Tachkent via Istanbul
  • Saturday : Arrival at Tachkent at 2.00 a.m – transfer to hotel Sheraton in Tachkent (1 night) – Lunch in town the next day, followed by transfer to Chimgan (1.30 p.m) – settling down in hotel, safety debrief and information.
  • Sunday to thursday : Heli-skiing
  • Friday : Heli-skiing
    Bus Transfer to Tachkent
  • Saturday : Return flight via Istanbul (flight departure at approx. 4pm)
