PRESENTATION

Heli-skiing in the southern hemisphere gives winter in summer! Unique in the world of heli-skiing discover one of the best heli-skiing spots in the world. Slopes average a drop in altitude of 1,500 metres, though slopes of 2000 metres drop are not rare !

 

  • Outstanding quality of snow, even following long periods of fine weather, thanks to the high altitude (between 3,800m and 4,600 metres) at which the drops take place.
  • If the weather is bad it is possible to ski in the resort (3 resorts linked), on large and beautiful domains with lots of smashing, untracked runs.
  • “Latin” atmosphere in the resort.
  • Easy access from Santiago, the capital of Chile.

 







 

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

  • Location: Farallones is situated at 2,700 metres in altitude, in the Andes, north east of Santiago, capital of Chile.
  • Access: The resort is within one hour of Santiago by bus along a mountain road.
  • Accommodatio:  Lodge in the resort of Farallones
  • Groups: 4 skiers or snowboarders.
  • Guides: Each group is accompanied by a specialist heliski guide
  • Helicopters: Various helicopters can be used: Bell 407 (5-seat), Ecureuil (4/5-seater), Lama (4-seater). The final choice of helicopter will depend upon availability of the aircraft.
  • Pilots: We work with qualified pilots who know the terrain intimately and who are masters in the specific requirements of heli-skiing.

 







PROGRAM

 
  • Sunday: Transfer Santiago – Valle Nevado, settling down in accommodation
     
  • Monday: Safety debrief, heli-skiing
     
  • Tuesday to Friday: Heli-skiing
  •  
  • Saturday: Heli-skiing until 1500 hours, transfer Valle Nevado
